This Maple Wood version features a yellow cord and is individually handcrafted by artisans in Hida Takayama, Japan. Made from unpainted solid Japanese wood, the little Totoro produces a soft, warm “koron-koron” sound when shaken. Careful selection and shaping of the wood allows such a small piece to resonate beautifully.

Each MOKURIN has its own natural grain, colour and subtly different tone. With use, the unfinished wood gradually develops a deeper colour and natural lustre. Measuring approximately 12.5cm including the cord, it can be displayed as a wooden ornament or attached to a bag for a charming touch of Totoro wherever you go.
